Day 2
Breakfast and departure to the town of Melnik. During the journey we stop at the Rila Monastery, the biggest monastery complex on the Balkan Peninsula (outside Aton) and one of the most impressive monuments of the Bulgarian architecture and art. Sightseeing tour of the monastery with visit of the Magernitza and the monastery museum. Lunch. In the early afternoon, we arrive in Melnik, sightseeing tour of the smallest town in Bulgaria, which is situated among the exquisite earth sand pyramids and is declared a cultural and historical reserve. Accommodation and dinner in a typical Melnik tavern. Overnight.
Day 3
Breakfast and we leave for the Rozhen Monastery, sightseeing tour. Afterwards we set off for the small village of Dobarsko, a mountain village at 1070 m above the sea level. It is nestled in the south foot of the Rila Mountain and overlooks the endless horizons of Pirin and Rhodopa Mountains. We welcome you according to the Old Bulgarian traditions and it is time for lunch. Afterwards, we visit the St. Teodor Tiron and Teodor Stratilat church /1614/ - a unique sanctuary, included in the UNESCO`s, an old village from the Revival period, situated at the foot of Pirin Mountain. Nowadays the town is a modern tourist centre and a ski resort of national importance and at the same time it preserves the unique atmosphere of the Bulgarian hospitality and home. Accommodation and dinner in a folk-style restaurant. Overnight.
Day 4
Breakfast and sightseeing tour of the town. Afterwards we leave for the town of Gotze Delchev and we welcome you with traditional breath, salt and crane`s bill. We visit the ethnographical museum with retro-review of typical Bulgarian folklore costumes, demonstration of weaving and market of traditional cloths, souvenirs and icons, made by local artists and craftsmen. Lunch in a folk-style restaurant and we leave for the small village of Leshten,it is unique with its authentic complex of restored houses with typical for the Rhodopa Mountains architecture and interior, combining the ancient atmosphere and the present-day comfort. Sightseeing tour of the village and accommodation in the houses. Dinner with home made specialties and dishes from the Revival period. Overnight.
Day 5
Breakfast and departure to the village of Kovachevitza, a museum village with unique atmosphere, where a great part of one of the most beautiful Bulgarian movies are shot. Sightseeing tour of the architectural and historical reserve with visit of the St. Nikola Church and the Kapsazov House. Departure to the town of Shiroka Laka, architectural and ethnographical reserve, famous for its patriarchal traditions and customs, as well as for its school for folklore music. Before reaching the village, we stop at the beautiful Yagodina Cave. Lunch and in the late afternoon we arrive in Shiroka Laka. Accommodation and dinner. Overnight.
Day 6
Breakfast and sightseeing tour of the village, we visit the Sgurovskia konak, the Kalaijiska House, the Karovski House, ets. Afterwards we leave for the town of Plovdiv, the second biggest town in Bulgaria. During the journey we stop at the Bachkovo Monastery - sightseeing tour and lunch in a traditional restaurant. In the afternoon, we arrive in Plovdiv, accommodation and dinner in a the Chevermeto restaurant. Overnight.
Day 7
Breakfast and sightseeing tour of the Architectural Complex. The old town of Plovdiv, the Ethnographical Museum, the Antique Theatre and the St. Elena and Konstantin Church. Departure for Sofia, arrival and transfer to Sofia Airport.
